Medium purple with some attractive, lighter and darker streaking in the skirt.
These "beehive" style insulators were produced for use along the Canadian Pacific Railway. What a sight it must have been decades ago when thousands of these deeply colored beauties adorned poles. The colour of these rich, dark, royal purple examples is amazing!
Two shallow flakes below wire groove on reverse. One a little larger than pencil eraser diameter. The other, narrower than a pinkie nail but a little longer.
