Description

#3533       CD 143      DWIGHT PATTERN.       Light amethyst.

A small, Canadian beehive style insulator.  Commonly found in aqua.  Also found in various shades of amethyst, all of which are quite scarce.  This lighter amethyst shade is actually a little scarcer than the medium amethyst units, and displays nicely between those examples and the grey units.

H.P. Dwight became involved with the telegraph industry in the 1840's.  He was associated with the Montreal Telegraph Company, and later the Great North Western Telegraph Company, where he became president.

A sparkling beauty in very near mint+ condition.
