#3557 CD 162 HEMINGRAY PATENTED PETTICOAT Bright electric blue.
Excellent depth of color and brightness in the glass! A somewhat darker blue than is typically encountered in signals which have this unusual embossing configuration.
Typically, a Hemingray signal with the word "Petticoat" embossed on the rear skirt would be marked "Patent May 2 1893" on the front. This one lacks the date and uses the wording Patented" rather than "Patent."
Half pinkie nail chip below "P." Index fingernail chip on inside of skirt, below "NT." A few other partially flaked drip points. Fingernail chip on inner skirt.
Attractive, strong color!!!!
