A circa early 1900's “San Francisco Wooden” insulator which was used on the trolley system in San Francisco, California.
Cable top type. Variant which has an inner skirt.
Second photo is a vintage view showing the San Francisco Wooden insulators in use.
Still retains a little of the original "municipal green" paint.
Weathered, uncleaned condition.
