Attractive, dark coloration!
A scarce color for this mold-line-over-dome "beehive" produced by Brookfield. Few amethyst/purple insulators were manufactured by Brookfield during the early period of glass insulator production in New York.
The dome embossed Brookfield lettering and street address marking is weak, but nearly all legible. January patent date on reverse dome appears as though a blot out was attempted, yet much of the lettering is present.
Examples in amethyst coloration are reported to have been found in several different states, some as far south as Florida.
Shiny, very near mint+ condition.
