An unusual pony design, with a peculiarly shaped dome and wire groove area.
Produced using Samuel Oakman's 1884 patented process of forming interior threads with a collapsible plunger.
Most often, this type insulator is found with base embossing for the American Insulator Company. A small number of these unembossed versions have been found in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Wheat grain size open base bubble, otherwise very near mint+ condition. Wonderful condition for this item, which typically is prone to damage in the wire groove/ridge area.
