A rather large and very impressive power glass insulator from the Boston area mass transit system. That's the only location these "straight side cables" are known to have been used.
Very heavy, thick glass that has a crude, textured surface with great character.
There's some dullness in the lower portion of the saddle groove from movement of the very heavy conductor when in use. As for actual damage, this is one of the best, remaining in very near mint+ condition.
