#3699 735 U.P.R.R. MULFORD & BIDDLE. Rich teal.
Beautiful and rare teal coloration! Sparkling, rich qualities in the glass!
Produced for use along the historic, first transcontinental railroad line in America, completed in 1869. The richly colored teal examples are rarely encountered, even much more difficult to obtain than the popular "cobalt" and other exotic blue examples. They have only occasionally surfaced in Wyoming.
Third and fourth images depict colorful Currier & Ives lithographs from circa 1868-1870, representing life along the transcontinental, Union Pacific Railroad and the Central Pacific Railroad.
Pencil eraser diameter flake, up from base, to the left and below the "U." Bruise on base corner below the "Mulf" lettering. Remainder of insulator in excellent, very near mint condition! A beauty!!! Few example are known in this condition!!!
