Description

#3707       CD 127.4       Unmarked.        Aqua.

Although unmarked, all molding characteristics strongly suggest Hemingray as the probable manufacturer. This style is among the earliest threaded insulators made by them, and is the design used in their 1871 patent application illustration, shown above.

This one surfaced recently in Western Pennsylvania, in the same vicinity as several other examples that were discovered in the 1970's.

Flat spot on the skirt from time of manufacture.  Surface is slightly dull from exposure to elements and/or slight wear.  No chips.
