Description

#3713      CD 162     H.G. CO.      PATENT MAY 2 1893        Electric blue with milk.

A huge "cottonball" dominates the dome!  An opaque-milky impurity is strategically located in the front area of the dome, creating wonderful character.  Additional opaque strings (not highlighted in photo) wind through other areas of the insulator.

A unique and desirable item!  Must be seen in person to fully grasp the impact of the milk impurities.

The blue color representation in the image with white background is quite accurate.  The black image, for the purpose of showing the milk, depicts the blue as being too dark, almost peacock blue.

Drip points remain in great condition - no flakes!  Open bubble is the size of a small match head.  No chips, flakes or dings.  Overall, in exceptional condition!

Update 11:15 A.M. Saturday, February 24.  Third image added.  White dots at center of the wire ridge outline the small open bubble that was previously mentioned.  A question has also been asked about the triangular shaped object visible inside the left area of the dome.  Those familiar with the chunks of white material seen in electric blue Mickey Mouse insulators.... this is the same type substance seen here.  Likely an ingredient to the glass batch that was not fully broken down/mixed before the glass batch was used.
