#3715 CD 257 HEMINGRAY PATENT JUNE 17 1890 MAY 2 1893. Green and blue aqua mix.
Attractive green coloration is further enhanced with wonderful separation of color in the ears. Olive amber and green glass dominates a sizable portion of the ears, while lighter, blue aqua coloration is equally distributed in the top one-third of both ears. Quite a contrast!
The various designs of Hemingray insulators are often different from what other manufacturers produced. Numerous other glass houses produced a standard "saddle groove" insulator for high voltage, most manufacturing the CD 258 though 260 "helmet" designs, whereas Hemingray created a completely differing design, the CD 257 "Mickey Mouse" type.
Match head flake and just a little, partial drip flaking make it very near mint.
