Hemingray produced the "Mickey Mouse" insulator over a period of decades, resulting in a variety of embossing, color and style types being manufactured. This variant has a wide, flat saddle groove.
For a period of time, various insulator types were created in this distinctive blue coloration by Hemingray while operating their glass factory in Muncie, Indiana.
