Lightning rod insulator. Width: 1-15/16 inches.
Looks similar to a LR 28. A LR 28 appears to have a top which is larger in diameter than it's bottom. This one has a smaller diameter top and larger diameter bottom. Perhaps just a mold difference for the same LR number.
Mounted on the original, rusted, iron bracket.
Internal fracture goes from the base, upward to the middle wire groove. Shallow flakes up from base.
