U numbers have been established for various, similar "no tie" types of international origin. However, the dimensions of this unit are quite different than any previously established U number, so it's an unlisted item.
Width: 2-1/4 inches. Height: 3-1/2 inches. The skirt is quite narrow, and tapers inward as it goes up. It is also quite short, at 3-1/2 inches.
An impressive style that was designed to hold the line wire in place without the use of a tie wire. Quite an elaborate arrangement at the top!
