#1681 CD 132.4 PATENT DEC 19 1871. Light green.
Known as the "Chambers Companion," this unusually designed insulator was used on a Chambers lightning protection system to hold the riser, which fit into the side slot. Produced by the Hemingray Glass Company in Covington, Kentucky.
The embossed side is very near mint. Slotted side has a slice chip on the outer edge of the base flange, to the left of the slot. Flange to the right remains in wonderful condition!
Aside form the one chip, the insulator is quite nice!
