Description

#3229       CD 130      CAL. ELEC. WORKS.        Aqua with swirls.

Produced for the California Electrical Works, circa late 1870's - early 1880's.

WOW!  Amazing swirls within the glass!  The streaks have a very pleasing, relaxed pattern that meander and flow through the insulator..... quite soothing and attractive!

The streaks are most pronounced in the rear skirt, but also evident in the front skirt and some fairly strong streaks are present in the dome.

This jewel would be a beautiful addition to any collection, and of special interest to a collector of Western insulators or one who collects "junky" glass.

Base remains in wonderful condition.  Wire ridges are free of damage on the front.  A very shallow flake on the lower rear ridge (pencil eraser diameter).  Very clean and un-noticeable flake type chip (thumbnail) on the upper wire ridge (at side mold line to far left in first photo).

None of the above is distracting on this fabulous example!!!!!
