Description

#3521         CD 162        HEMINGRAY   MADE IN U.S.A.        NO 19.        Yellow and blue mix.

An outstanding mix of both yellow and blue creates a bizarre and highly unusual color!  Cobalt blue and yellow glass was blended together in the production of this insulator, creating a unique, teal toned glass with patches of pure yellow at various locations of the insulator.

This gem was offered in a Pole Top Discoveries auction during the 1990's, at which time Dale Evoy purchased it for his collection.  It remained there for a number of years, and was then offered again in another Pole Top auction during December, 2015.

This jewel is among the most desirable of colorful insulators that a Hemingray or signal specialist could pursue, due to the eye catching, unique color and rarity.  A few other blue signals having small amounts of yellow contaminants have been encountered over the years, but none came even remotely close to the contrasting qualities of this oddity.  The dome was crudely molded with a coarse texture, adding even more attractive character.

One drip point mostly removed.  Seven others are partially flaked.  Displays quite well from both front and back.

Unique!
