#3627 735 U.P.R.R. MULFORD & BIDDLE. Teal.
Beautiful and rare teal coloration! Sparkling, rich qualities in the glass!
Produced for use along the historic, first transcontinental railroad line in America, completed in 1869. The richly colored teal examples are rarely encountered, even much more difficult to obtain than the popular "cobalt" and other exotic blue examples. They have only occasionally surfaced in Wyoming.
Fourth and fifth images depict colorful Currier & Ives lithographs from circa 1868-1870, representing life along the transcontinental, Union Pacific Railroad
Very shallow, smaller than pinkie nail flake on the wire ridge. Another, smaller than pinkie nail size, on the base. Otherwise, very near mint. Fabulous condition for a Mulford & Biddle, even if it were aqua. Finding a rare teal colored gem in such fine condition is outstanding!
