#016 731 TILLOTSON. Bubbly green.
The glass is loaded with an abundance of bubbles throughout, creating an incredible oddity, of which we have not seen or heard of another. Adding even more character, the insulator was compressed when the the glass was still hot, making a somewhat oblong shape. The insulator appears wide from the front or back, and thin when viewed from either side
In all likelihood it was compressed between two other insulators in the annealer, as there is glass missing on the front and back lower skirt areas, where the glass was pulled away after hardening (two shallow fingernail chips on reverse lower skirt and one on the front).
Absolutely amazing glass!
*****1:20 P.M Saturday, March 28. Second image added, showing the thin, compressed profile when viewed from either side. A much narrower appearance than when viewed from the front or back.
