#838 CD 123 E.C&M CO S.F. Bright aqua. "H" mold. 4" height.
Embossed EC&M insulators were used at numerous locations in the West during the 1870's. While most have been recovered in California and Nevada, they have also surfaced in Hawaii, Arizona, Oregon, Utah, Washington and northward into British Columbia, Canada.
This "H" mold variant has a well defined spot of glass in the center wire groove, and another at the left mold line. The pinhole is off-center, leaning to the right at the top, adding more character.
Excellent overall condition! The base is free of chips, having only light removal of excess glass at the outer edge mold line. A beauty!
