#1374 735 MULFORD & BIDDLE. Aqua.
Meet "Pudgy!" Air trapped within the pinhole caused the insulator to be deformed, creating a pudgy appearance. Quite an interesting and desirable example for those who appreciate insulators with "character."
A threadless insulator dating from the mid to late 1860's. Found almost exclusively in the western US and British Columbia, Canada, including the Union Pacific Railroad in Wyoming, where quantities of them were installed. Only a handful of examples are known to have been found in the eastern US and Canada.
Some base chipping as seen in the second photo. Skirt, wire groove/ridge and dome in great condition. Appears lightly tumble cleaned.
