#1506 CD 267.5 N.E.G.M. CO. Dark aqua.
A large, and very impressive power piece!
The "N.E.G.M. CO. marking represents the New England Glass Manufacturing Company.
The deep saddle groove allowed the heavy copper strand conductor to lay in the groove without the use of a tie wire. The only confirmed usage for this type insulator has been on the mass transit system in the Boston, Massachusetts area.
Two amber impurity splotches in the skirt (see photo) have small radiation halos around them (minor).
No chips, dings or lehr touch marks normally associated with this type insulator. Even the deep saddle groove is much nicer than most. Great overall condition!
