#2140 CD 127 H. BROOKE'S PAT JAN. 25TH 1870. Aqua. Base embossed.
The base stretched from the spiraling motion of the mandrel during manufacture, resulting in the embossing being elongated and creating a slanted "italic" appearance. A neat feature!
Thick, heavy glass, with solid dome.
Sparkling, very near mint+ condition. The dark area and divot at base is a bubble inside the glass and and a crease on the glass surface, caused when the threading mandrel was rotated. The bubble has a small opening at the end, the size of narrow match head (not damaged).
