Description

#2411       CD 123        E.C&M CO S.F.      Aqua.

"C" mold with 4-1/4" height.  The "C" mold has a beveled dome and button on the front skirt.

Produced in the 1870's for the Electrical Construction & Maintenance Company of San Francisco, California.

Shallow, flake-like chip, up from the base on right front skirt (see photo).  Shallow, pinkie nail flake up from base.  The base itself is far, far nicer than most EC&M's, with just a hint of flaking at the edge.

Without extremely close inspection, that would be the end of the condition report.  However, with close scrutiny a hard to discover stress fracture in the side wire groove is found, perhaps 1/2" being somewhat visible.  Although extremely difficult to see, it does continue in the groove to the front.

Considering the great appearance of this old Western relic, we feel it likely retains about 75% value compared to a very near mint example.  We'll price it reasonable as a Buy-Now item, and are certain the purchaser will be very happy with the item.

Buy-Now Price: $180.

BUY-NOW lots are subject to the normal 12% buyer premium, added to the Buy-Now price.

All lots in this event numbered #2373 and up are obtainable using two different purchase methods.  A bidder has the option of bidding on these lots at the current next raise as an auction item.  Or, you may make an instant purchase by clicking the "BUY-NOW" area, positioned just below the green "SUBMIT BID" button.

A reserve has been set on Buy-Now lots.  Once the reserve amount has been met, the Buy-Now option will no longer be available.

Buy-Now and auction purchases will be invoiced vie email by mid-afternoon on the day following the event closing.  Invoices will also be viewable to purchasers on the auction site at that time by clicking the "MY ACCOUNT" tab on the upper portion of the auction page.
